TVS Motors India has launched the Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge, which gets minor facelift (new graphics) and some additional features in comparison to regular Apache RTR 160. TVS has discontinued the Apache RTR Refresh and has been replaced by the Apache Hyper Edge. It is available for Rs. 68,000.

Design & Styling of TVS Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge
As far as looks and design is concerned apart from new color schemes and new graphics the Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge is identical to other bikes in Apache RTR series. TVS Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge adorns a new graphic scheme to distinguish itself from its smaller siblings, with Hyper Edge emblazoned boldly on the tank scoops. Stylish alloys, unique grab rails, classy silencer, larger & sharp lined fuel tank, all these elements combine perfectly to give Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge a sporty eye-catching looks. Apart from the New grey/black tachometer the rest of the instrument cluster is same like the RTR 160 with Digital blue backlit Speedometer. The rear is also same with LED tail lamps, re-styled silencer and CBZ X-treme type split grab rail.

Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge comes with digital plus analogue instrument cluster which includes a  digital speedometer, two trip meters, clock, odometer, fuel gauge and an analog tachometer. It also comes with useful features like service and battery indicator.
Engine of TVS Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge
- Same 159.7cc, 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder
- Maximum power of 15.2 Bhp at 8500 rpm
- Maximum Torque of 13.1 Nm at 6000 rpm
Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge is powered by the same 159.7cc engine which develops maximum power of 15.2 Bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.1 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is not just an overbore of the Apache's 150cc engine. The engine's stroke was cut down to 52.9 mm and then the bore grew to 62 mm. Sadly, notchy and much complained Apache gearbox has been retained. Wheelbase of Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge is same like the Apache RTR 160 Fi which was increased to 1300mm from the last gerenration Apache's 1260mm to accommodate 40 mm longer rectangular swingarm. This has helped in improving the stability of the bike.

Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge will be priced around Rs. 68,000. The discontinued Apache RTR 160 Refresh was also available at same price.
