We won’t be wrong if we say that this concept is the best Ferrari concept car from designers who have never worked in the design department of Ferrari. This extraordinarily beautiful super car is called Ferrari 612 GTO. The creator of this concept – Sasha Selipanov from Berlin, Germany. Concept Ferrari 612 GTO by Sasha – really exciting concept. Carbon Fiber Renard GT
The Renard GT’s carbon-fiber monocoque weighs only 11 kilograms, and is reinforced with Kevlar, to make it resistant to impact and vibration. Thanks to an increased cross-section, the composite body is stiffer than a regular pipe frame, and thus ensures very precise steering. The unibody integrates the motorcycle’s frame, gondolas, petrol tank and air box into a single load-bearing structure. The sleek, no-nonsense exterior gives the Renard its distinctive appearance.
The GT’s suspension is adjustable in three dimensions, and tuned to perfection. The Grand Tourer’s lightweight, hardened- aluminum components are designed and modeled in 3D, then milled from a solid block by CNC machines. These components provide quality, reliability and a sophisticated appearance.
The Renard’s longitudinally mounted 90° V2 engine is strong and powerful, and produces sufficient torque at low revs. The Grand Tourer provides silky smooth acceleration from crowded city streets all the way through to the end of the lonesome straight away. The modern air-cooled engine produces approximately 125 hp at 8000 RPM, and the GT takes has a top speed of 230 km/h.
The stiff body shell, reduced rotational masses and low center of gravity mean that the Renard GT rider will enjoy total control in every maneuver. This is a surgeon’s blade on two wheels, providing you with a complete and powerful riding experience.

Design & Styling of Skoda Yeti
The overall design of Skoda Yeti is confident and boxy, with a hint of large Panda 4x4 about its styling, it looks good. There's a utilitarian edge to its design, with huge space between the wheels and wheelarches suggesting plentiful axle articulation and serious off-road ability. The large grille at the front and massive foglamps give it a distinctive face, while its wide track gives the Yeti a tough stance that it lives up to off-road.
Skoda Yeti's Sturdy flanks and distinct wings give Yeti its robust and solid look on 17 inch wheels, without coming across as bulky and heavy. The Yeti is a clever response by Skoda Auto to the increasingly important ecological issues in the popular and growing SUV class. Skoda has met the demands for a cleanly styled body, a high seat position and versatile operating options with a design, which despite its robustness, exudes lightness rather than bulky shapes. The Yeti also meets the needs for environmental care, luggage space, safety and great road holding.
Interiors of Skoda Yeti
Skoda has done a very neat job on the Skoda Yeti's interior. It exudes class, with a dashboard that would look at home in an Audi and classy instruments instead of green functional dials of old. SUV drivers love the high driving position in their cars, and the Skoda Yeti goes some way to replicate this. Space is also impressive, especially in the rear. The back seats slide to alter the balance between boot and passenger space, and the high seating position and deep footwell provide more room than you'd guess from the outside. Take out the middle seats of Skoda Yeti and you can slide the two outer seats inwards to provide an even great illusion of space.
The rear seats are an area where the Skoda Yeti scores over other compact SUVs and, arguably, helps justify the crossover tag. Clever design means that the rear seats can be folded and tilted right forward, and even removed to maximise cargo space. You can also recline the rear seats of Skoda Yeti. The optional panoramic sunroof is particularly impressive, opening up the whole of the roof of the Yeti to the sky. Less great are the very high sills on every door and the boot that impede access and reducing the luggage loading versatility in Skoda Yeti. Maximising boot space means doing without a spare wheel.
The Skoda Yeti is very well equipped for load lugging, too. The luggage compartment volume is highly flexible; up to 1,760 liters is available by removing the rear seats. A luggage cover and net as well as lashing rings are available to secure any load in Skoda Yeti.
Main Features of Skoda Yeti:

- Maximum torque of 320 Nm
Skoda India is going to launch the Yeti in diesel only, it is going to sport a 2.0 litre common rail diesel engine which generates maximum power of 140 bhp at 4200 rpm and 320 nm of maximum power at 1750 rpm. The engine will be mated to six speed manual transmission and will also features all wheel drive system which makes Yeti a serious off roader.
Variants of Skoda Yeti
- Skoda Yeti Ambiente
- Skoda Yeti Elegance
It is expected that Skoda Yeti will be launched in two variants: Ambiente and Elegance. The main difference between elegance and ambiente is that Elegance has 6 airbags in comparison to 2 in ambiente variant and it has 12 speakers with music system in comparison to 8 in ambiente variant.
Ride & Handling of Skoda Yeti
The Skoda Yeti is a clever compact vehicle that is bound to create a stir. Excellent handling characteristics and high agility are features of all trims. The 4×4 variants are characterized by outstanding off-road ability and excellent traction, coupled with low emission values and fuel consumption. Four-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive, the Yeti handles much the same until the conditions get slippery. Most of the time Skoda Yeti relies upon front-wheel-drive, but on wet, icy or muddy surfaces the rear wheels are automatically engaged on four-wheel-drive models. As an off-roader this Yeti proves able, handling difficult terrain with ease. While the ground clearance and tyres make this more a vehicle for tackling snow and wet grass than pulling a horsebox, there is a nod to serious off-roading. Standard on top Elegance models, and optional on others, is an Off-Road button in Skoda Yeti.

The MV Agusta model line-up is expanding with the introduction of the new BRUTALE and the 920 engine. This incredible naked has enamored the motorcycle world with its unique design that has been to date unequaled. Ever since its introduction the BRUTALE has continued to be the leader in both design and performance. With the launching of the new BRUTALE, the most beautiful and powerful naked is now within reach of an even larger number of riders whom have always dreamed of experiencing the emotions only the BRUTALE can deliver. A new engine, new chassis settings, a onepiece seat design with a focus on comfort, the BRUTALE offers a new interpretation of a high performance naked. A motorcycle that offers aggressive styling and raw performance matched with an intuitive chassis. A Brutale that is always incredible easy to ride and has never been this comfortable and intuitive.
On a cost per performance basis, the BRUTALE is without a doubt the new reference in the naked sport category. A technologically advanced 4 cylinder engine with radial intake and exhaust valves coupled with the same advanced engine control unit as the 1090RR together with one of the most evolved chassis’s the BRUTALE is able to easily tame even the most demanding roads and racetracks.
This advanced performance is also coupled with a new look, with the color black dominating the new styling of the radiator shrouds and seat. But, looks are not everything and a major focus was also placed on rider comfort with a re-designed single seat that improves both rider and passenger comfort during every day use.
The BRUTALE project continues to remain faithful to the original objectives, MV wanted to build the most compact and light weight naked coupled with a superbike chassis together with raw engine performance that would enamor even the most demanding motorcyclist.
The principle characteristics of the new BRUTALE are:
* Four cylinder engine with radial valves
* Magneti Marelli 5SM engine control module
* Traction control with 8 levels of intervention
* Tubular steel frame coupled with aluminum side plates for maximum torsional rigidity
* Single sided swingarm with a adjustable Sachs rear shock
* Marzocchi upside down 50mm adjustable front forks
* Brembo racing radial calipers
* New single piece seat that is both lower and narrower

THE DESIGN
The new BRUTALE is without a doubt Brutale, but at the same time this is a new interpretation of the most admired naked in the world. The attention to detail is what makes this new model different and even easier to use in everyday riding. The single piece seat is both more comfortable for the rider as well as the passenger, the turn signals are no longer integrated into the mirrors but have been placed in a position for better visibility during city traffic, the suspension is now softer and more comfortable. A Brutale that is easier to use than ever before but with the same maniacal attention to detail that one has come to expect from MV Agusta. Just one look at the tubular steel frame, the anodized handlebars with pivoting clamps, the pure form of design of the shift and brake levers, the single sided swingarm and unique wheels and it clear why the Brutale is the most beautiful naked in the world.
The two available color schemes are black and white. The single sided swingarm along with the unmistakable styling make this new BRUTALE unique. A masterpiece of Italian Design, the attention to detail and monochromatic color schemes helps to highlight the technical details like the over-under side mounted exhaust and the original MV Agusta frame design integrating tubular steel and aluminum side plates.
THE ENGINE
The 4 cylinder 16 radial valve MV Agusta engine has reached a new level of evolution and technology. The 921cc, a new engine displacement for Brutale, finds the perfect balance between power and drivability. The new displacement of the legendary 4 cylinder is obtained with a new bore and stroke ratio with a focus on optimizing the power curve of the BRUTALE to be even more manageable while at the same time offering the class leading power. The new four cylinder MV Agusta matches 129 horsepower with a broad torque curve, incredible levels of power have never been this easy to control.
The crankshaft of the BRUTALE is shared with the 55mm stroke unit in the 1090RR as well as the 2nd order engine balance shaft and the optimized oiling system and the oil cooled generator. The BRUTALE has a number of dedicated engine components including the new cylinder block and 73mm pistons as well as a cooling system with the radiator catch tank which is now at the same pressure as the atmosphere helping to keep the engine temperature under control even in the most extreme track or city driving conditions. The intake system breaths through a bank of 46mm Mikuni throttle bodies working together with the hyper sophisticated engine management system. The Magneti Marelli 5SM ecu controls the fuel injection, ignition and the various maps. The double engine map (Normal and Sport) allows the rider to tune the engine management system to the conditions and coupled with 8 position variable traction control the BRUTALE can be ridden to the limit while always remaining under control.

The double engine map (Normal and Sport) allows the rider to tune the engine management system to the conditions and coupled with 8 position variable traction control the BRUTALE can be ridden to the limit while always remaining under control.
THE CHASSIS
The BRUTALE shares its chassis configuration and geometry with the 990R and 1090RR as well as most of the chassis components. The frame is a mixture of a steel trellis structure and lateral aluminum plates that has become the trademark of MV Agusta since the first application on the F4, a frame structure that has been continually copied but never equaled by other manufacturers. The chassis dimensions are the same as on the other Brutale models offering a perfect dynamic balance and a precise response to rider inputs. With a 1430 mm wheelbase, 25° steering head angle and 103,5 mm of trail the new BRUTALE offers without a doubt the best balance of agility and stability. A technical feature the new BRUTALE is a new steering head which offers optimized rigidity for this type of naked which will without a doubt become the new reference for easy handling.
Coupled with the revised steering head design is new suspension valving which is both softer and smoother to give the maximum amount of feedback even to less experienced riders. But, make no mistakes, the new BRUTALE is still Brutale, thanks to the infinite amount of tuning possible with the 50 mm Marzocchi USD front forks and Sachs mono shock. With just a few clicks you can easily transform the BRUTALE into a track weapon. BRUTALE is also known for its agility: coupled with the new Pirelli Angel tires the feedback from the tarmac is always immediate and the 180/55 section rear tire aids in putting down the 129 horsepower from the MV 4 cylinder engine. Performance of a supersport and handle of a middleweight, the new BRUTALE from MV Agusta continues to redefine the naked sportbike segment.

Mission R Electric Superbike Breaks Cover
After teasing us earlier last month with its silhouette, Mission Motors has finally taken the wraps off its Mission R electric race bike. Boasting some big numbers, namely a 14.4 kWh battery pack and a 3-phace AC induction motor that makes 141hp and 115 lbs•ft of torque, the Mission R ticks all the right performance boxes with its 160mph top speed, 100 kW motor controller, regenative breaking, and barely race legal 545 lbs weight.
Taking lessons learned from the Mission One, Mission Motors has built the Mission R from the ground-up, and tapped some well known names to help the company make this striking motorcycle. With James Parker (of GSX-RADD fame) designing the chassis, and Tim Prentice of Motonium working on the industrial design, the Mission R is not only a very pleasing motorcycle to look at (drool over that billet single-sided swingarm), but also incorporates some advanced concepts to make it a potent and compact racing weapon. Oh, and did we mention the bike looks freaking fantastic?
Starting with the chassis, James Parker designed the Mission R’s unique Quad-Element frame layout, which has a chrome-moly trellis frame, joined to a billet aluminum front piece that incorporates the head stock and forward sub-frame. Enclosed in a carbon fiber box, the Mission Motors managed to fit 14.4kWh of MissionEVT battery packs into the chassis design, while Parker’s main focus was centering the new Mission Motors AC induction motor at the Mission R’s exact center of gravity.
The densest component on the Mission R, Parker’s goal was to put the 3-phase AC induction motor as close to the center of gravity on the Mission R, so as to have the lowest moment of inertia possible. With a wheelbase just 3/4 of an inch longer than a Ducati 1198 Superbike’s, the Mission R should be very flickable and responsive, and Mission touts that it will be one of the most compact and well-balanced designs on the 2011 racing grid.
With Tim Prentice working intimately with the Mission Motors engineers, Motonium’s industrial design aspects have not only made the Mission R very pragmatic in its design, with a small frontal-area and aggressive ergonomic, but also the electric race bike is a stunning two-wheeler that should turn more than a few petrol-minded heads at this weekend’s Long International Motorcycle Show. We especially like Prentice’s fairing design that sweeps down from the front fairing to the bellypan, elegantly showing off the orange trellis frame. With plenty of carbon, and all the right go-fast parts, we challenge anyone not to get excited about this bike visually.
The Mission R isn’t destined to sit around and just look good though, as Mission Motors plans on going racing with the bike in the TTXGP series (just barely under the newly imposed maximum weight provision of 250kg), as well as taking on other series like the Laguna Seca e-Power Championship and Isle of Man TT Zero as Mission deems them fitting with the company’s goals. As of right now Mission plans to only field one bike, with a rider not yet named, but could possibly field a second bike if the sponsorship and funding materializes for such an addition. “Racing is in our DNA,” said Mission Motors Founder Edward West. “The crucible of the racing circuit is one of the key ways we advance our technology. Pushing the envelope for what is possible with electric drive shapes not only the future of motorsports, but the future of transportation.”
Using the Mission R as a rolling showcase of its designs and brainpower, there are no immediate plans at this time for the Mission R to be available as a street bike from Mission Motors, but the San Francisco based company is not willing to say never on that idea. For now though, the Mission R will serve as a proving ground for the MissionEVT components and expertise, which Mission Motors hopes to sell to other manufacturers and OEMs inside and outside of the motorcycle industry. While business seems to be booming for Mission, we think the sound we’ll be hearing the most of this weekend will be peoples’ jaws dropping when they see the Mission R in person at the Long Beach show. Scroll down for photos and technical specs.

Aprilia RSV4 Carbon Fiber Fairing Kit
It seems Aprilia is getting ready to offer street-ready carbon fiber body panels for the RSV4 superbike, which should help well-financed Aprilia owners unload a maximum amount of cash for a minimal amount of actual performance increase (it’ll look good though). Composed of a carbon/kevlar/carbon layered composite, pricing for the carbon fiber fairings is being bantered around at about $5,000 for the carbon belly pan, front fairing, tank cover, air vents, right side panel, left side panel, and carbon tail pieces.
Should that price point prove to be true, that’s a hefty price tag for something that usually goes for about $2,000 to $3,000 from reputable compostite shops, but then again those fairings don’t come with Aprilia paint highlights and decals already applied, so…
It’s unclear if this option is destined for the United States when it does come to fruition (although we expect it will be in the US price catalog for 2011), or what official pricing will be, but we don’t see this being a big hit with RSV4 owners, no matter how damn good it looks.

GP Commission Modifies 2011 Rules
The GP Commission has seen it fit to modify the rules for MotoGP, Moto2, and 125GP during the 2011 season, with perhaps the biggest alteration coming in the form of FP3 being reinstated to the Saturday schedule. For MotoGP, all practice and qualifying sessions will be returned to their one hour format (up from 45 minutes), which should make the sessions more useful for teams who has to scramble to make changes during the 45 minute format (Moto2 and 125GP will remain at 45 minute session). All the classes will see a three-wide grid format, which should be especially interesting in the compacted Moto2 field. All teams will also be allowed the use of generators on the starting grid.
Special for MotoGP, Dorna seems intent on limiting the level of electronics being used in the premiere class, and has inserted a provision that says that “in MotoGP, only the GPS provided by Dorna is permitted.” Currently MotoGP teams employ GPS systems that know which turn, and where in each turn, the bike is, and adjusts the bike’s suspension, engine map, and other settings for that corresponding section of the track.
While hyper-precise GPS systems could shave tenths of seconds off lap times, they also create an arms race in electronic controls, which in-turn raises the costs of racing. With Dorna supplying the unit, or failing to provide a GPS entirely (plot twist!), the use of such advanced electronics could no longer exist in 2011.
In addition to these provisions, Dorna has also requested applications for the 2012 Moto3 ECU supplier. Find the full release on the technical regulations and specifications after the jump.

* The attractively bent exhaust pipes and under-engine muffler arrangement contribute to the Ninja 400R’s attractive styling.
* Under-engine muffler contributes to the bike’s “concentrated” and highly focused appearance.
Brakes/Wheels/Tires
* Triple petal disc brakes contribute to the bike’s sporty image.
* Attractive 6-spoke supersport-style wheels give the bike a light look while reducing unsprung weight.
SPORTY STREET PERFORMANCE
Like its larger Ninja 650R sibling, the Ninja 400R balances compact size and good power. Its combination of a fun, rider-friendly engine character and light, nimble handling results in a package that is highly accessible to new riders while offering enough exciting, sporty performance to keep more experienced riders entertained.
Engine Performance
* Liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve 399 cc Parallel Twin with fuel injection delivers smooth, responsive performance, especially in the low and medium rpm ranges. The engine was tuned for fun, rider-friendly power characteristics that will inspire confidence in new riders.
* The engine’s excellent mid-range power characteristics make the bike especially fun to ride at medium speeds on city streets. Roll-on response is exceptional, offering impressive passing performance.
* 34 mm throttle bodies feature sub-throttles for high power output with smooth, sensitive throttle response.
* Bore and stroke measure 68.4 mm and 54.3 mm – their measurements selected to offer the most exciting performance for a 400cc engine.
* The quick-revving engine offers smooth, linear power delivery. Difficult to stall and with rider-friendly off-idle characteristics, the engine has a highly accessible character.
Compact Engine Design
* The key to the Ninja 400R’s compact size is its amazingly compact Parallel Twin engine, which permits the use of a narrow, lightweight frame. The engine is loaded with innovative technology that enabled the realisation of its compact design and surprising performance.
- Triangular layout of the crankshaft and transmission shafts makes the engine very short front-to-back.
- Transmission input shaft, output shaft and change drum are contained in a “cassette”-style package that both allows a compact layout and facilitates transmission maintenance chores.
- Semi-dry sump design reduces engine height.
- Plated, linerless aluminium cylinder is lightweight.
- Under-engine muffler improves mass centralisation and lowers the bike’s centre of gravity.
* Together with the compact engine, the frame’s elegant design realises a package that is slim, low, lightweight and compact.
- The compact engine allows use of a slim, minimalist frame, resulting in a design that is narrow at the knees and feet.
- The compact engine also allows an extremely short wheelbase, giving light and nimble handling.
- Because a long swingarm can be used, rear suspension action and handling are both improved.
- 3D analysis was used to achieve the ideal stiffness balance for the frame, contributing to the superb handling characteristics.
- The frame is constructed of high-tensile steel, giving it a lightness rivalling that of aluminium frames.
- The layout of the offset single-shock rear suspension allows the battery to be located beside the shock instead of above it. This elegant arrangement allows a lower seat height as well as a slim design.
* The same characteristics that make it fun to ride (responsive handling and rider-friendly ergonomics), also make the Ninja 400R ideal for new riders.
* A short wheelbase and tight turning radius contribute to the Ninja 400R’s high manoeuvrability.
Light Handling
* Frame and swingarm rigidity balance chosen to offer light, rider-friendly handling.
* Front and rear suspension settings match frame and swingarm characteristics , and contribute to the light, rider-friendly handling.
Minimal Vibration
* Rubber mounts instead of rigid mounts used for the upper-rear engine mounts reduce vibration transmitted to the rider through the seat.
* Handlebar is rubber-mounted to reduce vibration transmitted through the handle grips.
* Rider and pillion footpegs are rubber coated to further reduce vibration.
* Low vibration levels ensure that riders do not get fatigued after long rides.
Rider-friendly Ergonomics
* The riding position was specially designed to inspire rider confidence. An ideal relationship between the handlebars, seat and footpegs results in a comfortable and natural position suitable for a wide range of riders.
* The narrow frame and engine make for an overall narrow package, allowing the rider to keep his or her knees and feet close together.
* Thanks to the low seat height and slim overall design, it’s easy to keep both feet firmly on the ground when stopped, an important consideration for many riders.
Brakes
* Dual 300 mm front petal disc brakes and 220 mm rear petal disc look great and deliver plenty of braking power.
* Twin-piston front brake calipers features 27 mm pistons. Front brake master cylinder has a 14 mm piston.
